Upscale, Midtown Barber Folds After 5 Months

Easy come, easy go.

Fellow Barber, an upscale barbershop in Midtown Detroit that opened just five months ago at 441 W. Canfield, has abruptly closed, writes JC Reindl of the Detroit Free Press.

The barbershop, which offered $40 haircuts and $50 shaves, posted a sign on the door this week with a notice that it was immediately closing due to a recent ownership change of the building, the Freep reports. The building was purchased this spring by Shinola and musician Jack White.

The Freep reported that a spokesman for the Brooklyn-based company said Thursday morning that more information may be available later in the day.
