Metro Detroit options for vegans ikeep expanding. The latest is Unburger Grill, which opened last week at 22018 Michigan Ave. in west Dearborn.
"We are a quick-service vegabn restaurant, dedicated to leading our community to plant-based living," it says.
The newcomer is created by brother and sister Christopher Oliver and Jane Beckwith, who make vegan burgers like the Classic Mushroom Cheese (single Black Bean and portobello patty served with lettuce, tomato, onion, sautéed mushrooms, vegan cheese and mayo on a whole grain bun) or the Sweet BBQ (single sweet potato and quinoa patty served with slaw, hickory barbecue sauce, sautéed red onion on a whole grain bun), reports Tom Perkins of Metro Times.
Side dishes include sweet potato and granny smith apple salad, Brussels sprout slaw with lime cilantro dressing, fries and pasta salad.
