Well, the 4 p.m. trade deadline on Monday passed and seasoned pitcher Justin Verlander is still a Tiger.
For weeks, there was speculation that Verlander might be dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers or another team. Only in the last couple of days was there speculation that the he's likely remain a Tiger because no team wanted to pick up his pricey contract.
On Monday, shortly before the 4 p.m. deadline, Verlander put out a cute tweet:
