Victor Martinez
The up-and-down, third-place Tigers could certainly use a healthy Victor Martinez.
Martinez is slated to return to the Tigers lineup tonight in New York, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Brad Ausmus talked to Martinez on Wednesday night. "He said he feels good," the manager tells reporters. "He seemed to feel like he was ready."
Martinez has been on the disabled list since May 19.
The Tigers are currently 5 1/2 games out of first place.
