Over the past few years, Detroit's much-discussed comeback has been evident in business districts downtown, in Midtown, at Corktown and even on Livernois Avenue.
But other areas, like the east-side Morningside neighborhood, are still struggling. It's bounded by Harper Avenue and Interstate 94 on the north, Mack Avenue to the south, East Outer Drive and Whittier Avenue on the east, and Alter Road and East Outer Drive to the west.
