TIgers Managers Brad Ausmus appreciates just how special Miguel Cabrera is.

"He's very gifted with a bat. I haven't come across a hitter like Miggy in my career other than him," Ausmus says, according to ESPN.com.

On Saturday in Chicago, Cabrera went 3-4, including a home run, all but guaranteeing that he'll capture the American League Batting Title for the fourth time in five years. He's not likely to play in Sunday's season closer.

ESPN's Katie Strang reports:

With Cabrera's .338 average and Boston's Xander Bogaerts trailing him by .018 points, it is all but assured that Cabrera will take home his fourth AL batting title in a matter of five years. In doing so, Cabrera joins an elite group of players to achieve such a prolific run.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, only eight players in major-league history have preceded him in the accomplishment, and only four others have ever done so in the American League: Ty Cobb, Rod Carew, Nap Lajoie and Wade Boggs.
