The state's Pure Michigan ad campaign began airing two new one-minute commercials Monday, Kristin Bull reports at Crain's.

One promotes craft brewers (here) and the other (above) showcases "downtown playgrounds" -- including scenes of the Campus Martius holiday tree, the Tour de Troit bike ride each September and a Cultural Center display pictured below.

"Come see what a real city feels like," the announcer says. "It's time to meet what's new and what's next in the downtown playgrounds of Pure Michigan."

"Radio and television ads for the $1.5-million regional campaign began airing Monday and will continue through the end of January," Bull writes.
