Video: Gunman, K-9 Dog Killed in St. Clair Shores

A gunman and a police K-9 dog were shot outside the Lakeland Manor banquet hall on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores Sunday during a confrontation, Camille Amiri of Fox 2 reports.

It all began when police responded to reports of a man outside the banquet hall on Harper Avenue just before 6:30 p.m.

Police say the gunman ignored their demands and took off, with Axe, a K-9, in pursuit. The gunman allegedly shot the dog and police returned fire, killing the man. The dog was prononced dead at the veterinarians, Fox 2 reports. 

K9 Axe was 4 years old and started with the St. Clair Police Department back in 2016.
