Update, 11:30 p.m. Sunday: Gov. Rick Snyder responds to sharp criticisms aimed at him during tonight's debate over the Flint water crisis.
He tweets:
Political statements and finger pointing from political candidates only distract from solving the Flint water crisis.
Since emergency declaration we have distributed 27k+ cases of bottled water, 50K+ water filters, & 168k+ water filter replacement cartridges.
We are committed to ensuring every Flint resident has access to clean & safe drinking water.

Original article, earlier Sunday night:
At the tail end of the Democratic debate on Sunday night, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton blasted Gov. Rick Snyder for the Flint water crisis.
All Americans should be outraged by the situation in Flint, Clinton said, adding that the governor acted as if he didn't care about the crisis.
"We've had a city in the United States of America where the population, which is poor in many ways, and majority African American, has been drinking and bathing in lead-contaminated water and the governor of that state acted as through he didn't really care. He had requests for help that he basically stonewalled.
"I’ll tell you what, if the kids in a rich suburb of Detroit had been drinking contaminated water and being bathed in it, there would have been action."
Candidate Bernie Sanders responded that he was also bothered by the crisis and noted that he had suggested Snyder resign. "A man who acts that irresponsibly should not stay in power," Sanders said.
Snyder's predecessor, Clinton supporter Jennifer Granholm, tweets this reaction:
.@HillaryClinton mentions Flint in a final answer! Love her outrage on poisoning kids in Flint: would never happen in a rich suburb!
