Video: Kwame Kilpatrick's Son Produces Rap Song About Dad -- 'Too Much Time'

Jonas Kilpatrick, the youngest son of imprisoned ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, has produced a hip-hop song about his dad, "Too Much Time."

Performing as JoJo tha DoughBoi, he raps:

"It's too much time, there was no crime,he's trapped inside...28 year injustice . . . they put away black leaders, spread lies . . . hate drove the case."

The song is part of a campaign by Kilpatrick's three children to free their father, serving a 28-year federal sentence in El Reno, Okla. The video was provided to The Detroit News.
