Update, 5 p.m. Friday: The Major League Baseball commissioner's office suspends Hunter for two games because of his conduct Wednesday night.

Ex-Tiger Torii Hunter,  now with the Minnesota Twins, is normally even-tempered.

But on Wednesday night in a home game against Kansas City, he struck out and started arguing the third strike with the home plate umpire. He was tossed from the game and had to be restrained a little as he got into the umpire's face.

In protest, he yanked off his elbow pad, shin guard and batting gloves and eventually took off his jersey and threw it on the field.

The Twins lost 7-2.
