Video: State Lawmaker Gets on One Knee and Proposes on House Floor

There have been wilder places to propose marriage.

Still, state Rep. Klint Kesto of Commerce Township gets creative points for proposing to Delena Kajy on the floor of the House of Representatives in Lansing.

According to the background with a video posted Wednesday by House Republicans, Kesto told his girlfriend that he wanted to introduce her to colleagues with a formal proclamation.

He surprised her by reading a proclamation proclaiming his love and got down on one knee, slipped a ring on her finger and asked if she'd marry him. 

 Kesto then yells: "Mr. Speaker, I think she said yes."
