Bruce Rondon
You might recall that Tigers reliever Bruce Rondon, who was being groomed as the the team's closer, fell out of favor at the end of the season.
He blew plenty games, and to top it off, his attitude was lousy. The team finally told him to go home before the season even ended. The team suspended him, citing his lack of effort. Though still a Tiger, the team talked about his bad attitude and his need to mature.
Well, there's a signs that he may need to work on that maturity more.
While pitching Saturday in a Venezuelan Winter League game, Rondon got involved in a big brawl.
Rondon, pitching for Navegantes del Magallanes, reportedly hit Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Jose Osuna of Bravos de Margarita with a pitch in the seventh inning, the Detroit News reports.
When Osuna got to first base, Rondon threw to the bag to keep him close. Osuna yelled over to Rondon, the News reports.
The two exchanged words, and Rondon started walking toward Osuna and the two started fight, triggering a bench--clearing brawl.
