Michigan State Police made an arrest in a road rage incident on eastbound I-94 between Woodward and Interstate 75 near downtown Detroit. Two or three shots were fired, but no one was injured.
Lt. Michael Shaw of the Michigan State Police declined to say how many people were arrested. He said more details would be forthcoming.
The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, when the victim said a car in front of him braked abruptly. The victim then pulled in front of the car and peformed a brake check back, Michigan State Police tweet.
The original driver then pulled along side the victim's passenger side and fired, damaging the car's door.
The shooter then exited the freeway at the Van Dyke exit of I-94. Part of the freeway was closed Sunday night between the Lodge and Woodward while troopers investigated.
"Detectives and troopers continued their investigation overnight and were able to locate the suspect vehicle," the state police Metro Detroit division tweets Monday morning. "The MSP Emergency Support Team executed a search warrant and suspects were taken into custody."
