Officer Richard Billingslea taking down Mike Jackson.
Two men are are accusing the Detroit Police of brutality during an incident at a gas station convenience store on the city's east side in May.
Mike Jackson and D'Marco Craft are suing officers Richard Billingslea and Hakeem Patterson. The men were at an east side gas station at 1:30 a.m. on May 31 when a shouting match led to Billingslea taking down Jackson, M.L. Elrick of Fox 2 reports.
A video shows officer Billingslea grabbing Jackson and slamming him to the ground, then kneeing him while the other officer kept people away.
Chief James Craig tells Fox 2 that he's concerned, but says there's more to the story. He says Jackson took a swing at the officer.
Jackson, 38, a city bus driver, says that's a lie.
"I would not swing on no officer," he tells Fox 2.
