Zip code 48217 in Southwest Detroit is known for all the wrong reasons. It stinks, literally, and is described as the state's most polluted zip code.

Recently, community activists gave a tour of the neighborhood to University of Michigan students, who decided to help make a statement about the dreadful situation by painting a mural to raise awareness.
