The movie "White Boy Rick," now theaters, recounts Richard Wershe Jr., a 1980s teen drug trafficker on Detroit's east side. It's a feature film, not a documentary, and not everything is factual or completely told.
WDIV's Kevin Dietz has a detailed report on the real drama.
Wershe was paroled from the Michigan prison system last year after nearly 30 years behind bars. He's in a Florida prison, serving time for his role in a stolen car ring while he was behind bars there. He's scheduled for parole in 2020.
