After 37 years at WDIV, Roger Weber is signing off on Friday.

WDIV put together a video with Weber, 64, reminiscing about all that he has covered and seen over nearly four decades.

He talks about Mayor Coleman A. Young and Boblo and Lafayette Coney Island that "is frozen in time."

Of city hall, he said: "That place was a bottomless pit of intriguing characters, but most did their best under difficult conditions to help the city."

Weber, 64, is known as a gentleman and first-rate reporter who could be depended on to bring back the story.
