Our state's tourism pitches aren't just for Midwest neighbors anymore.

The successful Pure Michigan commercials are going coast-to-coast, starting Monday, as the new spots below air on ABC, CBS and NBC programs, as well as cable networks, according to an Associated Press report in Crain's. 

Travel Michigan, which is part of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., says the budget for the 2014 national campaign is $13 million. . . .

The state this year is doing a network national ad buy for the first time, George Zimmermann, vice president of Travel Michigan, the state’s tourism-marketing arm, announced earlier this week at the Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
