Vinsetta Garage Owners Repurposing Former Hooters in Troy

Let's face it. The world will survive will one less Hooters.

The owners of Vinsetta Garage on Woodward in Berkley plan to convert a former Hooters at the corner of Rochester and Big Beaver Roads in Troy to a Latin American restaurant, Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit reports.

Union Joints restaurant group founders Curt Catallo and Ann Stevenson tell Eater the restaurant called Gran Castor (“great beaver” in Spanish) will open by early summer. Hooters left the space in January.

Union Joints is known for transforming historic properties into restaurants such as the church that houses Clarkston Union and the fire station used for Fenton Fire Hall.
