The iconic 103-year-old Awrey's bakery will live to be at least 104.
Michael Martinez of the Detroit News reports that the bakery's doors will re-open as a result of an 11th-hour deal to buy the Livonia-based business. The buyer wasn't disclosed on Tuesday.
An auction, which had been set for Tuesday to sell off the bakery's assets, was cancelled, the News reported.
The company shut down in recent days and laid off most of its workers, the News reported.
