
The Guardian Building on Griswold Street in downtown Detroit -- one of the coolest buildings around, both inside and out -- is up for sale.
Cash-strapped Wayne County is now looking for a commercial real estate brokerage firm to sell the iconic, art deco building, which is headquarters to county government, Eric D. Lawrence of the Detroit Free Press reports. It also wants to sell two other county-owned properties.
The Guardian building, originally called the Union Trust Building, was built in1928-29.
