WDIV Anchor Has the Virus; 'I am going to be OK'

WDIV morning anchor Evrod Cassimy has tested positive for coronavirus, the station reports. He said he's overwhelmed but on the mend.

“Take this very seriously because I would not want anybody to go through what I’ve gone through," he says. "I took it as seriously as most people are and still got it. I’m hurting and I am going to be OK.”

He adds early Wednesday:

Please keep praying. For all those fighting Coronavirus I’m fighting with you. To those who have lost loved ones to this disgusting virus my heart goes out to you.

I’m gonna take this time to get better. Thank you all for the incredibly kind messages. I love you all.
