A west Michigan woman who killed four people last year after going through a stop sign while high on marijuana will spend the next year in jail.

WDIV: Twenty-seven-year-old Ashley Baker of Watervliet also received five years' probation at sentencing Monday in Van Buren County Circuit Court in Paw Paw.

Authorities say Baker's van failed to stop at a stop sign in February 2013 and struck a car carrying the four women on a rural road, about 40 miles southwest of Kalamazoo.

The victims were Kathryn Maya, Celeste Phillips, Lou Ann Holcomb and Charlotte Sieber.
