Well, not as much as the 100th birthday of Sanders "Bumpy Cake," which at least is still popular.

A news release from the Clinton Township company notes this month's centennial of the cake with buttercream icing and fudge topping.

To commemorate the birthday, Sanders will be giving out free slices of bumpy cake Apirl 27 at its nine suburban stores. Hiller's seven groceries and The Detroit Shoppe at Somerset also will have free slices that day.

In addition, it'll seli the wavy-top Bumpy Tea Cakes cakes for $5 that day.
