"Stay home," advises Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong, doing Gretchen Whitmer. "I promise you can call me a bitch from the comfort of your couch. It's called Twitter."
The Michigan governor got the late-night seal of approval by Strong's bit. The actress was costumed in a beige wig, obvious false eyelashes and a native-state eehh-cent that was pretty much dead-on.
"We're not out of the woods. We never will be. We live in Michigan" is only one of the quotable bits. Watch below, and then catch the governor's reaction:
