Every little bit helps the Detroit economy.
Bill Shea of Crain's Detroit Business reports that Will Leather Goods plans to move its hat manufacturing and e-commerce operations from Oregon to Detroit, a move that will create 50 more staff positions in Detroit over the next 18 months.
"We're in the process of beginning to do some manufacturing in Detroit. We're going to bring our hat shop to Detroit," said Will Adler, a native Detroiter who founded the Eugene, Ore.-based luxury leather products maker in 2004, Crain's reports. He opened a Midtown Detroit store at 4120 Second Ave. in Detroit Midtown.
Adler made his remarks at a breakfast networking session at Cass Technical High School during the 2016 Detroit Homecoming being put on by Crain's Detroit Business, Shea writes.
