A new court filing shows 10 of the people who will testify during the trial of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrickare felons.
Some witnesses listed include Kilpatrick's friends and former top staffers. Derrick Miller, Dedan Milton, and Kandia Milton were close to the ex-mayor and served in his administration, WXYZ reports.
Miller, who went to Cass Technological High School with Kilpatrick, was indicted in 2010, but took a plea deal on bribery and tax charges and agreed to cooperate with the government. Miller was a top aide who also helped Kilpatrick run his first mayoral bid.
Kandia Milton was a deputy mayor to Kilpatrick, and served one day as mayor when Kilpatrick was jailed in connection to his perjury case. The Miltons were convicted of bribery and have agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors.
