Frankie Darcell has been fired from WMXD-FM (92.3), Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Detroit Market President Nick Gnau told the Free Press Thursday.
Darcell's "Afternoon Mix" show aired 3-7 p.m. weekdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
B.J. Hammerstein reports other changes are happening at Clear Channel stations in the Detroit market, but out of respect to the company’s former employees Gnau said he didn’t want to give out specifics, including what would be airing in her place.
Darcell has a large following in Detroit's black community. She could not be reached for comment.
