Here's a disturbing tale from downtown Detroit.
Cortney Bogorad has filed a lawsuit against Fishbone's Rhythm Kitchen Cafe, alleging that a security guard physically removed her from the women's bathroom on Jan. 23, claiming she was male, according to a report by Katrease Stafford of the Free Press.
Bogorad, 30, of Detroit, alleges that the guard refused to look at her ID, threw her into the bathroom wall, dragged her out of the restaurant and tossed her onto the pavement outside, resulting in contusions, wrist injuries, shoulder injuries and scarring.

Boograd says it began when the guard yelled into the bathroom for a man to leave. She finally realized he meant her.
"It was absolutely insane to me," Bogorad tells the Freep. "I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe they wouldn't believe me when I said I was a girl or that they wouldn't look at my ID."
