WWJ-AM and the Associated Press reports autopsies by the Wayne County Medical Examiner shows the bodies found dismembered in the Detroit River earlier this week had been shot before they were cut up with a saw.

The radio station says the bodies were  identified as 42-year-old Chris Hall and 32-year-old Danielle Greenway of Allen Park. The couple lived on Anne Street, near Allen Road, and were last seen alive one week ago.

Wayne County spokeswoman Brooke Blackwell said Thursday that Hall died of multiple gunshot wounds, while Greenway died of single gunshot.
