
Yoenis Cespedes
Yoenis Cespedes is a Mets player, at least for now.
But on Tuesday it was announced that he the American League Gold Glove award in left field while he was a Tiger, The Detroit News reports.
Cespedes, who is a free agent this year, was traded to the Mets at the July 31 trade deadline, was named the American League Gold Glove winner in left field, beating Alex Gordon of the Royals and Brett Gardner of the Yankees.
Cespedes led all AL outfielders in defensive runs saved. He's the first Tigers player to win a Gold Glove since Placido Polanco in 2009. The last Tigers outfielder to win was Gary Pettis in 1989, the News reports.
