Filling up your vehicle should be routine matter, but some Detroit gas stations continue to be magnets for serious crime.
The latest: Javon Perry (right), a 22-year-old father of a baby girl, was fatally shot in the head just after midnight early Thursday, Shawn Ley of WDIV reports.
A security video shows the deadly encounter. While filling up his car at a Marathon station on Gratiot Avenue just north of State Fair on the east side, Perry backs up after one man starts walking toward him. Then a second man approaches and he's shot.
The victim had just gotten off work.
