The father of a West Bloomfield teen allegedly shot and killed by his grandmother said there was no indication of any problems between the two.
Michael Hoffman, a prominent Metro Detroit divorce attorney who moved to Arizona last year, said his ex-wife had talked to her mother earlier in the week and she mentioned no problems with the teen, who was living with her.
"We never had any clue," Hoffman said.
Jonathan Hoffman, 17, a senior at Farmington Central High School, was killed Friday evening.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide. The grandmother, 74, whose name hasn't been released, is in police custody.
