Campus Martius "Beach" party: Second-to-last free weekly event starts at 5 p.m. with cash bash from the Fountain and live reggae by Roots Vibrations. Listing.

Sound Sculpture and DJ: 8-11 p.m. Make music with glowing light cubes in The Cube at the Max, 3711 Woodward Ave. Walk onto an interactive musical score, physically pick up a note and move it with the technology of Sound Sculpture. Create compositions with this set of interactive sound and light building blocks by simply changing their order, location and orientation. Keyboardist/DJ Jon Dixon and Marquis Johnson will close out the experience with a techno and jazz set. $12 advance, $20 at event. Deets here.
