It's Halloween weekend, so we won't bog you down with the many parties around town. But if you're not up for wearing a costume, eating candy and consuming lots of booze, here are alternatives. Enjoy the weekend and fall weather.
Friday
The Eagles: 8 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena. Tickets are $51-$351.
Ben Folds: Singer-songwriters performs at the Fillmore Detroit at 7 p.m. Tickets are $39-$85.

Beer Festival: Eastern Market, 5-9 p.m. (Sold out Saturday.) Tickets allow 15 three-ounce samples of over 800 beers from more than 110 Michigan brewers. Tickets: $45.

Dog costume party: Free photo booth, games and treats for pets and owners at Grand Circus Dog Park, 2:30-4 p.m. Prizes for best dressed, most creative, scariest, and funniest outfits. Details.

Art gallery show: Free exhibit of painters Paul Kremer, Mark Flood, MOMO and Jason Revok. Their works are shown alongside video, performance and functional objects. Library Street Collective, 1260 Library St., Detroit. 6 p.m. Information.
Pepa Pig Live: Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series. If you're looking to please your kid, this looks like a pretty good bet. Fox Theatre, 5 p.m. Tickets: $38-$133.
