A 72-year-old wheelchair user seems an unlikely suspect in a gruesome murder.
Then again . . .
The Detroit News reports that Alphonso Jackson, who is in a wheelchair, was arrested Friday after police found a woman's body parts in his bathtub.
Jackson lives in the Phillip C. Sims Senior Housing Apartments on Detroit's east side.
"When the officers arrived they observed blood on the sidewalk, inside the lobby and in elevator of the building," Maria Miller, spokeswoman for Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, said in a press release. "The police investigation led to Jackson's apartment, where more blood was observed."
