Five Guys burgers will get competition in Greektown.
Actor-producer Mark Wahlberg tells Fox 2 that he'll open a Wahlburgers restaurant in Greektown, probably next summer. Fox 2 reports that Wahlburgers is a restaurant chain owned by the Wahlberg family with locations in Boston, Toronto, Nevada, Florida, and New York.
Wahlberg, in an interview with Lee Thomas on Fox 2, mentioned the burger venture while promoting his new film "Daddy's Home." He said Dan Gilbert's Bedrock Real Estate Services helped him get a good Detroit location.

Wahlburgers sells beef burgers weighing up to two-thirds of a pound. It also offers salads, turkey burgers, grilled chicken, fish, Portobello mushroom and grilled cheese sandwiches.
