​Jarren Jackson, the two-year-old believed to have been abducted Saturday, was found safe in Augusta Township.

Jackson's mother says her son was kidnapped by a passer-by after their car broke down at 1 AM Saturday morning. She said the abductor fled in a red pick-up.

WXYZ: Family members and police had been canvassing the area all morning. The boy's mother, father, and two other relatives reportedly found the child approximately two miles from the reported abduction. He was very cold and left outside.

Jarren was taken to the University of Michigan, C.S. Motts Children’s hospital for observation. It appeared child had not been physically harmed. It is not clear how long the child had been outside.

The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident.
