In anticipation of President Obama coming to Metro Detroit in 2016 for the presidential election season, the Secret Service and the Michigan State Police motorcycle squad conducted an exercise on Wednesday, causing a traffic jam,  the Macomb Daily reports.

Mitch Hotts of the Macomb Daily reports that dozens of motorists on I-94 in Harrison Township found themselves in a temporary traffic jam on Wednesday afternoon.

“We were conducting a motorcade training exercise for motorcade bike officers, something we do every four years as we gear up for the upcoming presidential campaign,” said Doug Zloto, assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service’s Detroit bureau.
