The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is adding $10,000 to the existing $25,000 FBI reward in the attempted robbery and shooting of Detroit U.S. District Judge Terrence Berg.
Berg, who has had multiple surgeries to repair a gun wound in the leg, was shot March 5 outside his home in northwest Detroit. Two gunmen ordered Berg to let them inside his house, but when he did not comply, they shot him once in the leg and fled.
In announcing the additional reward money, the FBI said that ATF was joining its Detroit Violent Crime Task Force investigation into the shooting of the judge.
