As the flow of new restaurants and bars in Detroit continues, Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit lists "The Most Anticipated Detroit Restaurants and Bars, Fall 2016."
Here's some:
► Bad Luck Bar: 1214 Griswold (The Albert building downtown). Partner Dave Kwiatkowski characterizes the “progressive” cocktail lounge as "very high-end, very exclusive," with "experimental and experiential" elements, Eater reports.
► Atomic Chicken: 6500 Woodward Ave. Atomic Chicken is a chef-driven, fast-casual concept serving chicken & waffles, chicken sandwiches, and smothered biscuits, Houck writes.
► La Noria: 5517 Michigan Ave. Chef Norberto Garita who is known for his Mexican-Italian restaurant El Barzon, plans to offer wood-fired oven pizzas, tacos, tortas, and more in a converted Coney island, Eater reports. It will have a bar.
► Hearth and Soul Cafe: 1049 Woodward Ave, Detroit. The 2,900-square-foot venue will offer Avalon breads and pastries, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner, Eater reports.
► Gather: 1454 Gratiot Ave. The restaurant in the Eastern Market area is expected to feature a wood-fired grill and dishes like crispy pork belly with "black" squid ink noodles, seasoned bison burgers, sweet potato steaks, soft serve ice cream, and slushies, Eater reports.
► Bucharest Grill — Livernois: 19492 Livernois Ave. The mini-empire known for tasty chicken shawarma grows to four sites.
► Geiger Eat Shop: 8044 Kercheval Ave. This is described as a new American restaurant with international influences, Eater reports.
