The boss at national pretzel seller Auntie Anne's want their customers to know that an incident last week at their Oakland Mall store involving an employee who flung nacho cheese at some customers was not part of the chain's "pretzel perfect" experience.
Serena Marie Daniels writes at The Detrooit News that the food fight, which made national headlines, prompted the company's president and COO Bill Dunn to issue a 38-second YouTube statement (below) expressing disappointment and making a peace offering of sorts to company's customers: free dipping sauce Friday at all 12 Metro Detroit locations.
"Pretzels are supposed to be a fun treat, and my expectations are that all of our guests are treated with respect, and leave our stores with a very positive experience," Dunn said. "You know, it's our guests who make us who we are. So if you ever go into an Auntie Anne's and have anything less than a pretzel perfect experience please contact us."
