The question the judge certainly has to ask her self: Are the tears for real?
Bob Bashara, convicted of killing his wife, took the witness stand Friday for the second day in a row in Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit, trying to convince Judge Vonda Evans to grant him a new trial based on claims his attorneys were ineffective and the media made it impossible to get a fair trial.
While on the stand, he dabbed his eyes with a tissue and appeared to weep, according to a report by George Hunter of the Detroit News.
At that point, the judge called for a recess, the News reports.
After the brief break, Bashara said:
"The memory of informing my children of their mother's death came back. It was too much for me."
