The battle of the infamous Kwame Kilpatrick texts is about to begin.

In an upcoming federal corruption trial set for September, the lawyer for contractor Bobby Ferguson, a co-defendant in the case, has filed a court motion to block the feds from using some of those texts, according to Free reporters  M.L. Elrick and Tresa Baldas.

Here's one that's raising concerns: 

"I am famous now, just need to get some money," contractor Bobby Ferguson writes to his good pal Kilpatrick.

"LOL! Right. Let's get you some," Kilpatrick replies.

"Us," Ferguson responds.

That text message is among among nearly 370,000 prosecutors have subpoenaed for trial.
