This latest incident is just an ugly reminder that carjackings are still a big problem in Detroit.

Detroit Police are investigating an incident involving an 81-year-old man, who was carjacked and shot and wounded around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 18500 block of Joy Road near the Southfield Freeway on Detroit's west side, Nick Monacelli of WDIV reports.

Police tell WDIV that the man was near a liquior store when he was shot in both legs and robbed of hundreds of dollars before his 2013 Chevy Cruze was stolen.
