When I taught journalism at the University of Maryland in College Park, I looked forward every week to a grilled chicken sandwich and coleslaw from Chick-fil-A in the student union.

It was very good. But I wouldn't do handstands over Chick-fil-A.

Others feel differently.

More than a dozen people wait outside Somerset Collection North to secure a spot in line for Thursday's opening of an outlet on Thursday, according to Serena Maria Daniels of Metro Times. The first 100 in line will win free Chick-fil-A for a year consisting of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, waffle fries and a medium drink.

There's also a line for a new Lansing location where the free-meal prize will be given on Thursday.
