Clerk Fatally Shot in Marijuana Dispensary Stickup on Detroit's West Side

There's money and drugs inside these businesses, which makes them primate targets. 

In the latest crime involving a marijuana dispensary in Detroit, a 28-year-old clerk was  found fatally shot behind the counter of a cannabis shop in the 12800 block of W. Chicago on the city's west side  at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, reports Steve Neavling of Motor CIty Muckraker.

When police arrived, the open cash register drawer was empty.

The victim was found on his back and was pronounced dead at the scene.

"We're still investigating to determine exactly what happened," Sgt. Nicole Kirkwood says.
