Imagine you're being treated by a paradmedic for a heart attack when the paramedic has a heart attack.

That's what happened last Friday.

WXYZ's Jim Kiertzner reports that veteran Detroit paramedic Joseph Hardman, 40,  was giving CPR to a man with a heart attack in the morning when Hardman had his own heart attack inside the EMS unit.

Hardman's partner, emergency medical technician Karl Baylyl, drove them both to the Detroit Medical Center, where Hardman and the patient had stents put in to clear the blockage in their arteries, Kietzner reported. They both seem to be doing fine, and the Detroit Firehouse page on Facebook reports Monday night that Hardman "is returning home for further recovery." -- A.L.
