
Now that filming has been completed at the elaborate, Chinatown set on Washington Blvd. in downtown Detroit, it's time to tear down the set. Or as President Ronald Reagan would have said: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."
The teardown was under way Monday. Deadline Detroit snapped a few photos. Too bad they couldn't leave it up as a tourist attraction.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Tribune reports that director Michael Bay will be filming in Chicago this coming weekend. Folks can expect to see helicopters, stunts and pyrotechnics, according to fliers handed out to businesses and residences in the Near East Side neighborhood. -- Allan Lengel
